The Residence is situated 5 km away from Gubbio (500m above sea level) in an oasis of protected nature, among green hills and century-old trees. It is a converted 18th century monastery, surrounded by 10 hectares of woods, cornfields and meadows.
The Residence in Gubbio is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday in the midst of historical towns. You will be able to enjoy total tranquility, as well as the fabulous sights of the medieval town of Gubbio, some of which- in fact- date back to the etruscan-roman era. But you are also within easy reach of the other historical towns in Umbria (Perugia is just 35 km away , Assisi 30 km, Todi 70 km), and some of the most famous cities in central Italy: Florence (150 km), Siena (150 km), Rome(200 km).
The complex comprises the main building (photo n 1), with 6 apartments and two cottages (placed at the front, photo n 2), with two more apartments.

2 Large ones (60 sqm.) sleeping 4+2. (Falcone Reale e Cigno)

Where we are:

MAIN EVENTS IN GUBBIO:
At Christmas : several large-scale nativity sets in the local churches and the biggest "Christmas tree" in the world, outlined with colourful lights on the whole height of the Mountain of S.Ubaldo.
At Easter: Good Friday procession with characters in traditional costumes to mourn the death of Christ.
15th of May: "Festa dei Ceri" ( Ceri Festival-see above)
Last sunday in May: "Palio della Balestra" - crossbow competition between the towns of Gubbio and St. Sepolcro.
Sunday following the "Festa dei Ceri": "Festa dei Ceri mezzani" smaller version of the original wooden structures, carried by the towns's youths.
First sunday in June: The "Festa dei Ceri" season ends with the race of the smallest wooden structures carried by the town's children.
14th August: "Palio della Balestra" - crossbow tournament among Gubbio's districts preceded by a parade of characters dressed in traditional medieval costumes and a spectacular performance from the town's world renowned flag wavers (also a medieval tradition).

Un posto tenuto da persone in gamba e competenti. Ho avuto modo di conoscere e scambiare delle chiacchiere con il Sig. Riccardo, suo fratello e la Sig.ra madre. Assolutamente nulla da dire sulla magnificenza dei posti e di come è tenuta la struttura.
