Jacuzzi Residence is an old stately home that has been transformed into a period residence of 19 ample-sized rooms
and suites, elegantly furnished and decorated, with all modern comforts, where our guests can enjoy the enchanting
atmosphere of a gentleman’s residence, surrounded by frescoes and the original décor.
Jacuzzi Residence, an historical residence right in the heart of Umbria, allows you to re-live the enchantment of the past times,
to taste the flavours of Umbria’s traditional delicacies and to enjoy a peaceful stay in the midst of its surrounding park.
Jacuzzi Residence is a 17th century villa peacefully surrounded by a vast estate of more than 30 hectares, which includes an age-old wood-land, olive groves, cherry and walnut groves and farming lands.
Between 1846 and 1861, when Umbria belonged to the Papal States, the Residence was the seat of the Papal Delegate, as the Earl Alessandro Baldeschi was a close friend of Pope Pius IX, who appointed him to the post of Delegate.
When the Generosi family purchased the villa in 1961, it was in a state of neglect, but a long-term, skilful and accurate refurbishment has restored it to its original magnificence; its Renaissance, austere façade conceals a variety of rich and refined internal rooms.
The place where the Residence stands changed many times over the centuries: in the Roman times, it was a “rustic villa”, then in the Middle-Ages it became an embattled tower; in the 16th century it turned out to be a stately home after a significant enlargement, commissioned by the Baldeschi Earls, who had shortly before become the landlords, and carried out by some local architects, who took inspiration from Sangallo and Alessi.
The Generosi family lives in a private area of the villa, next to 19 elegant rooms designed for guests who cherish the charm of bygone centuries. The palace has a noteworthy dining room with frescoes of the 17th century, with a painted coffered ceiling and a large fireplace decorated with a blazon.
The consecrated chapel contains a Neo-Gothic altar with wooden polychrome carvings.
At the time the estate was no longer a farm: it was a “pleasure ground”, or a “little Arcadia”, as evidenced by the remains that can be found in the park still today: ruins, statues, grottos and a fountain-head.

Each room is different from the others; they are all ample-sized, painted in pastel colours that harmonize perfectly with the rich shades of the textiles, fitted out with period furniture, pictures and objects that all belong to the home’s history. The up-to-date comforts (air conditioning, direct telephone line, Internet connexion, satellite TV, minibar, safe, soft extra-pillows, sanitary
and anti-mite protection of beds) complement the elegance and sobriety of the rooms. Each bathroom is provided with a hydro-massage bathtub, a shower, a hairdryer and bathroom scales. Each room is named after a person who is linked with the Jacuzzi’s memory, either someone who once belonged to the family of the earlier landlords, or a special guest.

We have transformed the Jacuzzi Residence into an elegant hotel; we live in it in order to manage it personally and we tried to preserve its original charm to offer an ideal stay to anyone who loves privacy and a homely welcome. Our main purpose has been to have the building restored to its original splendour and to revalue the history and the culture of its background. In these pages we try to describe what we wish to offer to our guests, but it is impossible to put in plain words and in a few pictures the feeling of a stay in Jacuzzi Residence, surrounded by the calm of the countryside and cosseted by our collaborators, who have been carefully chosen and trained to let our guests enjoy an unforgettable holiday.
We are in Umbria, in the heart of the countryside, 2 km from Corciano, a delightful small town; our cosy period dwelling, which has been entirely restored, allows our guests to spend a quiet holiday, yet being close to the major cultural and tourist cities of our region. Thanks to its position, Jacuzzi Residence is the ideal starting point to go on a day trip to one of the countless art cities and picturesque hamlets well-known all over the world: Perugia, Assisi, Florence, Rome, Todi, Spello, Foligno, Orvieto, Gubbio, Città di Castello

Extra-virgin olive oil
Our extra-virgin olive oil is made with the olives that are picked in our farm, that surrounds the Jacuzzi Residence of Corciano; the olives belong to the following varieties: “Dolce Agogia”, “Leccino” and “Moraiolo”. The picking is made by hand only, in order to preserve the integrity of the olives and they are cold-pressed in the mill, according to the tradition, right after being selected. It is a limited, high-quality production, for refined connoisseurs who look for genuine tastes. We thus wanted to perform a gesture of love for our land, as well as a gesture of friendship for all those who will have the opportunity to experience its most precious flavours through this excellent product.
