PALIO DEI QUARTIERI, NOCERA UMBRA, PERUGIA

The first week of August in Nocera Umbra takes place the “Palio dei Quartieri”.
It is a game between city quarters: Quartiere Borgo San Martino e Quartiere Porta Santa Croce.           
             
Corteo, historical dresses and historical dishes are the three tournaments.
On Sunday takes place the final tournament: knights on horses have to insert a lance into a small ring.
