The Hotel La Mattonata in Assisi is located in Umbria in a particularly quiet and privileged position
because it is near Assisi's center (15 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by bus) and it is also surrounded by a wonderful park (about 28.000 sqm).

The building overlooks the well famous "St. Francis's Brick Road" and is situated between the Basilica of St. Maria degli Angeli and the town of Assisi.

From the Hotel la Mattonata in Assisi you can admire a stunning view, either on the ancient medieval village or the green surrounding landscape.

The original house with its gorgeous "Assisi Stone" fore wall, used to be a convent of the Oblati Fathers.

Recently the competent and careful refurnishment left the previous charme unspiled, althought the improvements with some modern comforts and services have increased the House natural skills towards hospitality, in order to fulfil any expectation of the clients.

Nel complesso una bella struttura a due passi da Assisi che, considerate le potenzialità, potrebbe essere curata meglio. Soddisfatto comunque, nel complesso, del soggiorno. Fallimentare il cenone di Capodanno 2019-2020: perché cucinare pesce in una regione che si distingue per la bontà delle proprie carni? Peccato che le abilità dello chef siano emerse solo il giorno dopo. Una lode particolare a tutto il personale, veramente gentile e cordiale.

Abbiamo soggiornato per due giorni per festeggiare il capodanno e l'esperienza è stata completamente positiva. La camera accogliente e calda, la colazione strepitosa, il cenone abbondante e buonissimo, la cortesia di tutto lo staff sopratutto del caposala del ristorante sempre attento e pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta, il receptionist che ci ha accolto con estrema gentilezza e simpatia. Grazie a tutti abbiamo trascorso due giorni meravigliosi.
