Casco dell’Acqua Country House is located between Trevi, Montefalco and Foligno towns in a fifteenth hectares holding owned since over 30 years.

It represents the typical farmhouse in the Umbrian countryside: its main building is four meters away from the Clitunno river that goes along the whole holding; its structure dates back to the seventeenth century and it was presumably intended to be the tannery. In the 1930s it was extended.

The approach to the Country House is via a bridge on the river Clitunno that dates back to the papal reclamations period as the engraving on the keystone attests (AD 1775).

The Country House has 8 simple, refined and furnished apartments; everything is painstaking in order to create a comfortable and relaxing place in tune with the surrounding nature.
Some details such as “encanto” watercolours on the walls, wax-treated terracotta floors and the furniture in solid wood distinguish the Country House.

Casco dell’Acqua, a small suburb located along the river Clitunno near the town of Trevi, is immersed in a wonderful landscape where the slow flow of the river marks the pace of the rural life.

The suburb’s name, Casco dell’Acqua, comes from the “dam” that was built to create the so-called “water jump” of the river Clitunno (“casco” in Italian from the verb “cadere” = to fall). The reason was the activation of a cornmill.

Thanks to a thick vegetation rich in weeping willows and popper trees the river banks are shady, creating a charming atmosphere.
For this reason the river Clitunno and its sources have been contemplated and inspired painters, poets and writers since the ancient times.
Virgil, Propertius, Pliny the Young, Carducci, Byron and many others sang its beauty.

Our Country House is immersed in this haven of peace, extremely beautiful and rich in historical and cultural references.

La Campetta Ground Floor (2+1 persons)

Santa Croce 1 Floor (2+2)
Two-roomed flat on the first floor,living room provided with fireplace and double sofa bed. It has a double bed or two single beds with bathroom.

Le Coste 2 Floor (2+2 persons)

Clitunno 1 Piano(4+2 persons)
Three-roomed flat on the first floor provided with large living room with fireplace and two single sofa beds. It has a double room with bathroom provided with Jacuzzi and another room with double bed or two single beds with bathroom provided with Jacuzzi shower box.

Follow the direction to Spoleto-Roma, Sant’Eraclio’s exit (industrial park)-Trevi, follow the direction to Casco dell’Acqua.

Motorway A1 - Autostrada del Sole, Orte’s exit, follow the direction to Terni then Spoleto-Perugia, Sant’Eraclio’s exit (Matigge, Santa Maria in Valle, Casco dell’Acqua, Sterpete) airport, Trevi industrial park, follow the directions to Casco dell’Acqua.
