The Park Gulliverlandia covers an area of about 40.000 square metres, very close to the Water Park Aquasplash, in the sea-area of Friuli in Lignano Sabbiadoro. Opened in spring 2000, Gulliverlandia is not only a thematic park but it is designed for people of all ages and it is especially dedicated to the family.

The first of the attractions is the Aquarium, for the people who love the seaside; you may admire sea life while walking quietly through an see-through tunnel under the surface of the water, among sharks, rasins and eels. In the same area you will find the tanks of the tropical fish. The dinosaurs are the topic of the zone Vulcano Rapids, where a vulcano can arouse excitement while  travelling under waterfalls in primitive canues.
. The medieval zone offers among other attractions a lot of different things one of which is the medieval challenges. A little train transports the visitors to the ruins of the Maya. In this you may visit a few of the most important monuments of the world in a little family waggon. Among the novelties there is the Panoramic Tower which is 60 metres high and which offers you  a beautiful view of Lignano, the lagoon and the sea. Now al little bit about the town... The peninsula Lignano is at the northernmost part of the Adriatic coast, between Trieste and Venice (nearest airport is about 100 km east of the city and the nearest railway station is Latisana around 20 km away). You can reach Lignano by public buses that run all day.

Lignano is known for its good and wide beaches of fine, light sand and the beautiful pine forests that encircle the city. You could say that Lignano consists of 3 coherent areas; Sabbiadoro, Pineta and the Riviera. Sabbiadoro is the part of the city with most activity and here you will find the 4-kilometre-long pedestrian street, with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. The pedestrian street is located just behind the beach promenade and range from a fountain to another.

The areas of Pineta and Riviera are green areas with pine forests between tenement and the sea. Here is a calm atmosphere and you will not find same activity in the streets as in Sabbiadoro. In Pineta, however, there is also a centre with shops, restaurants, etc.

Here you will find good bicycling terms and there are good possibilities for long bicycle rides in the area. The city has modern facilities and relaxing and family-friendly environment. Here you will find many activities for children like playgrounds, the Water Park and  amusement park the we mentioned above, a zoo with more than 1000 animals and it is also possible to do many different sports activities as horse riding, tennis, golf and more.
