Holiday apartments and vacation rental in country house with pool in Italy

Are you looking for an affordable holiday home for your family holidays? For culture and nature travels: alone, in two or with friends?

Spend a relaxing vacation in Italy at Villa delle Arti. We offer five self catering vacation rentals for 1 to 8 persons. Since we have children ourselves we specially welcome families with children. Kids will find plenty of space inside and around the house to play and discover nature. Pets are welcome.

Master craftsmen known for their artistic flair within an ancient tradition have restored all buildings at Villa delle Arti. Outstanding art works in marble and other stoneworks by the sculptor Wolfgang Sandt give this holiday home a very special touch.
A large flower garden and sculpture park surround the buildings. A pool close to the house offers refreshment on hot summer days. All apartments have private terraces and tranquil gardens to enjoy. Three holiday apartments are situated in the main house. 20 mtrs away there are two more apartments in our small house. Two of the apartments as well as the garden and the pool are accessible for wheelchairs.

All apartments are fully equipped with kitchen utensils. You will not find dishwashers, washing machines, micro wave ovens or automatic coffee makers, but of course you can use our washing machine. We deliberately have renounced to TV sets, stereo and telephones in our apartments: our guests will enjoy the luxury of silence and retreat during their stay at La Villa delle Arti.
A large flower garden and sculpture park surround La Villa delle Arti. Each apartment has a private terrace lined with mediterranean herbs and tranquil gardens to enjoy. Our pool offers refreshment on hot summer days.

I Cuccioli 2+1 persons
I Cuccioli is a cool refuge from the summer’s heat and keeps a pleasant temperature in winter. The apartment was reconstructed with a very personal touch and has a kitchen work place all handmade from natural stone. For the bedroom we chose an antique brass bed frame. Right in front of the kitchen you may enjoy the afternoon and evening sun on your private terrace, shaded by a mulberry tree. Or find a quiet place under one of the olive trees in our garden.

La Pipo 2+1 persons
White marble floors in bedroom, living room and bathroom, ancient stonewalls and modern art objects give this apartment a special character. The balcony has a view of the mediterranean garden, pool, lavender fields and olive groves. A perfect hideaway, for a romantic holiday for two or for a small family with one child.

La Grapo 2+2 persons
Afternoon and evening sunlight falling through large windows paint all rooms in warm colours. Floors and sinks are made of honey coloured Pietra di Palladio natural stones. The large terrace is surrounded by a flower garden with roses, jasmin, lavender and rosemary. Enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view overlooking the rolling hills of Umbria and the Monte Amiata in neighbouring Tuscany.

Il Peperino 4+2 persons
This two-bedroom apartment is centered around the traditional Umbrian kitchen. Here everybody meets in front of the open fireplace for cooking, taking meals, playing and relaxing. There is space for a family or group of four, with the possibility of additional sleeping accomodation for two more persons. All rooms are furnished with paintings, reliefs and sculptures by the artist Wolfgang Sandt. The kitchen workplace is made of Peperino sandstone and black slate in combination with sun coloured yellow tiles. On summer days you can enjoy your meals on the shaded terrace in front of the kitchen. The windows of this apartment open towards the flower garden, meadows, olive groves and rolling hills to the South, East and North.

Come to vacation rental "La Nostalgia" (90 sqm) at La Rogaia: Old furniture give this two bedroom apartment a nostalgic flair. Through windows framed in ivy there is a view of our large sun terrace and rose garden perched at the edge of endless rolling hills. There is space for a family or group of four, with the possibility of additional sleeping accomodation for two more persons. The spacious balcony in front of the kitchen invites for leisurly meals and sunbathing. An Italian style holiday home like in times gone by….

How to get to Villa delle Arti by car

From Florence

• Take the highway (Autostrada A1) from Firenze towards Roma. After about 80 km take the exit Val di Chiana
• At the exit follow the road signs to Perugia. Drive on the Raccordo (Highway) until Exit Passignano Est / Castel Rigone (about 35 km)
• At the exit Passignano Est make a left turn, following the sign to Castel Rigone.
• After about 2 km, make another left turn and follow the sign to Castel Rigone driving uphill.
• Once you have reached Castel Rigone, keep on driving right through the village passing by the Bar and the church on your left hand side.
• After leaving Castel Rigone follow the road for another 2 km. Then on your left hand side you will see a large, modern but abandoned building.
• Opposite that building make a right turn and take the gravel road. Follow the signs to Rogaia along the road . After another 2.5km and having passed two farmhouses you will reach Villa delle Arti

From Rome

• Take the Raccordo (Highway) towards Siena, Firenze. After about 20 km take the exit Magione..
• At the exit make a right turn towards Magione.
• After about 1 km there is an intersection: drive straight ahead following the road sign to Castel Rigone. (Don‘t follow the the main road that makes a slight left bend)
• Follow the road to Castel Rigone for about 10 km up the hill in many serpentines. The road ends in a T-junction right in front of the Bar of Castel Rigone.
• Make a right turn following the signs to Preggio and Umbertide. Drive through Castel Rigone passing by the church on your left hand side.
• After leaving Castel Rigone follow the road for another 2 km. Then on your left hand side you will see a large, modern but abandoned building.
• Opposite that building make a right turn and take the gravel road. Follow the signs to Rogaia along the road . After another 2.5km and having passed two farmhouses you will reach Villa delle Arti
