The estate that surrounds La GHIRLANDA takes up 220 incontaminated hectares with biological cultivation of olive trees, grapes D.O.C.G. Sagrantino di Montefalco, wild breeding of chianine cows and cultivation of cereals and legumes.
In the estate you can find cottages,
a Saracin tower and a lake hidden in the green.
Olio extravergine d'oliva Tenuta di Saragano
The oil of this bottle comes exclusively from our olive-grove, situated in the heart of Umbria at 400 meters of altitudes. Our olive-trees of “Frantoio”, “Moraiolo” and “Leccino” species are still cultivated with ancient methods by organic-manuring and without chemical products aid.
Olives are are hand-picked and get within 24 hours to the cold-squeezing, performed by
a traditional oil-mill with millstone.
The oil extracted risults biologically pure and it is the one that we usually find on the table of the local farmer. A tradition that honour the simple excellence of an oil raised to the nobility by a careful cultivation that get it rich of vitamin E at high dietetic value and with an acidity lower than 0,5 %.
