Welcome to Bed & Breakfast “Canalicchio”.
The cottage is situated on the Umbrian hills, between fields of olive growths and vignards: this is a corner of Italy where the time has stopped and where traditions of the Umbrian countryside are preserved. At B&B “Il Casale a Canalicchio” you can spent a nice holiday in contact with the nature and you can do trekking, mountain biking or horse riding in the countryside reaching the old rural villages.
The Bed & Breakfast has got a big garden and a big terrace where guests can spent nice, relaxing hours especially during the warm seasons.
The garden and the terrace are furnished with bench, table, chairs, deckchairs and hammock: here you can enjoy the countryside with its smells and sounds, under the fresh shadow of secular pines and oaks. From each corner of the garden you can appreciate a wonderful view over the region and the panorama is particularly suggestive at the sunset when the sky is painted in red, orange and violet.

Bed and Breakfast “Canalicchio” can host 6-7 people and is arranged on two levels: first floor and ground floor from which you have access to the garden.
At the first floor there are the 2 bedrooms and a sitting room, while at the ground floor there is the big living room with kitchen-corner and the big fireplace that you can enjoy especially during the cold season. Here in the living room breakfast is served in the morning to our guest.
Each room is well furnished in old country-side style and provided with every comforts. In the house there are two bathrooms.
Our countryside cottage is divided into two apartments, both independent and one of this is reserved completely to our guests.
It is supplied with every comfort and furnished in old-farm style and with furniture and objects that remind the farming activities of our ancestors.
The hills which surround the farm are cultivated primarily with olive trees and the extra-virgin olive oil is the main product of our estate.
We produce organic olive oil obtained from olives which are hand-harvested and cold-pressed in the same day following the traditional way and in order to obtain a delicious product. If you want to taste or to buy our organic extra-virgin olive oil, feel free to ask us during your stay at B&B or ask us about it by mail.
Guests that like enjoying countryside activities can do gardening especially during summer or spent their time olive-harvesting in our farm during the months of November and December.
Our guests can also spent nice hours walking in the wood, looking for mushrooms or asparagus depending on the season of their stay. Many narrow paths, practicable only on foot, depart from the Bed and Breakfast to reach the villages nearby and are really appreciated to everyone that like doing trekking.
If you like horses, a riding-ground is reachable in few minutes and from here you can depart to spent nice hours horse-riding through the Umbrian woods and olive fields. Nearby there is also a lake where it is possible to go fishing.

Luogo incantevole , ma sopratutto strategica la posizione, con un po’ di buona volontà si visitano i luoghi più incantevoli dell'Umbria :Assisi , Deruta , Spello , Montefalco , Bevagna , Perugia e tanti altri ; così dopo una giornata in viaggio immergersi di nuovo nel verde e nella tranquillità di questa casa. Preparatevi ad un soggiorno dalle mille sfumature : arte , enogastronomia , natura , benessere spirituale , divertimento. Intendiamoci , la casa potrebbere deludere gli amanti di resort e agriturismi moderni , perfetti e un pò posticci , ma non chi cerca autenticità e semplicità. Tutto questo non è nulla se poi lo si somma alla gentilezza e alla disponibilità infinita di chi vi ospita , che vi vizierà con dolci fatti in casa per la prima colazione ed un assaggio del loro olio magnifico , frutto di una terra benedetta . Il costo contenuto è la prova che se si rinuncia a vezzi inutili e si mira alla sostanza , i nostri soldi possono essere investiti meglio in vacanza , magari in una bella bottiglia di Sagrantino.
