The skiing in and around Gressoney is done in a 25 km long mountain range with
several peaks over 4000 meters. It is a strangely beautiful high-alpine area that reaches its crescendo in the mountain of Monte Rosa, 4634 m above sea level. Three beautiful valleys looking into the mountains, and in the valley the sheltered terrain embraces the cult ski resorts of Gressoney, Champoluc and Alagna.
Gressoney is strategically located in the central valley, amid the giant
ski area Monterosa Ski, with 180 km of piste and thousands of square kilometers
off-piste. The terrain is ideal for skiing. Tickling and exciting slopes mixed with fine
and calm surfing down the hillsides, giving a great skiing with big variations. Practically the slopes and terrain around you represent a large white playground where only your own imagination can set the borders.
The ski runs of Gressoney are long, wide and fits carving. Many are red, some
black and a few blue. The constellation is suitable in other words, intermediate and skilled skiers.
Many of those traveling to Gressoney are good skiers who are looking for off-piste in world class. In every situation that you turn from the slopes, a mountain guide should be with you, not only for safety, but also to help you find your way and get to the really nice
slopes.

Accommodation in Gressoney
Gressoney is divided into two villages: La Trinité, and Saint Jean. There are about 40 hotels / residences and bed and breakfast in town. There are seven snow-shelters in the area, like Rifugio Guglielimina of about 2900 meters altitude that is a very exciting destination for and adventures overnight stay.

Flights and Car Rentals
There are several airports when you want to get to Gressoney. The
cheapest is usually to go to the one in Bergamo. It is also possible to fly to
Milan, Turin and Geneva, including (but this is a more expensive option in considering the Mont Blanc tunnel). Travel on with a rental car, but be sure to book snow chains while booking your rental car. It is both illegal and often impossible to get to Gressoney without! There are unfortunately also some Highway Charges, dipending on where you drive from .
Plane and Bus
Flights as above and then change to bus. Buses go from Milan and Turin to
Valle d'Aosta. Travel until Stafal (change is usually required in Pont Saint Martin), which is the last village of Gressoney Valley.
Trains
No matter from where you travel, you can get off the train in Pont Saint Martin and change to bus.
